By installing and using the Elseco ServiceBook app you agree to this privacy policy and give an explicit and informed consent to the data processing. If you do not agree, please do not install and use the app.

Information we collect

Through your use of the Elseco ServiceBook app following information will be collected and used:

Camera

By installing the app, we require to be able to access your camera. This will allow our app to scan QR codes and take pictures to add them voluntarily to an activity report. Pictures will be transferred via a secure Internet connection and stored on our web server.

Non-personal information

Non-personal information means information that, by itself, does not personally identify you. We may collect non-personal information, such as operating system version, language and other properties for purposes of managing the app and communicating with you.

Personal information

Personal information means personally identifiable information that specifically identifies you as an individual (e.g. your login details). We collect and store personal data only with your consent. Your personal information will not be used for any other non-app related activity.

Location data

Your location data is used for functional purpose, to improve your user experience and the overall quality of our services. We may use various technologies to determine location, such as GPS, Wi-Fi or other network-based data. We do NOT provide your location data for advertising networks.

If you don’t want us to use your GPS location information, you may switch your GPS functionality off on your mobile phone. The ServiceBook app can operate without your GPS location information.

Storage

While using the app you may want to download and open files related to our services (e.g. lift photos). To do this, files must first be written to device storage, which is why the permission is needed. Furthermore, you may want to add photos from your image gallery to add them to your activity reports. Your storage is not accessed without your consent and will not used for any other purpose.

How we protect your information

The security and confidentiality of your data is very important to us, so we take security measures (including physical, electronic and procedural measures) to help safeguard your information from unauthorized access and disclosure (TIER 3 data center, ISO-9001 & ISO-27001 certified).

Please know that, despite our efforts, no security measures are perfect or impenetrable.

How long do we store your information

Your information belongs to the elevator owner. On behalf of the elevator owner, we will keep your information for as long as the related installations (e.g. elevators) are serviced by Elseco BV.

After the use the Elseco ServiceBook app is stopped, we will hand over your information to the owner of the elevator and remove all information related to this elevator from our databases. A detailed privacy agreement, signed of by the elevator owner, elevator maintenance company and Elseco, is available specifying all detailed privacy terms and conditions.
